IMF Warns Stablecoins Could Accelerate Financial Crises Globally

IMF head Kristalina Georgieva warned that stablecoins and tokenization, while potentially speeding up cross-border payments, could also accelerate the spread of financial crises. She called for urgent international regulation to address these new risks.
