Italy’s Shadow and Illegal Economy Reached €218.2 Billion in 2024

Italy’s unobserved economy, including underground and illegal activities, reached €218.2 billion in 2024. Irregular workers rose 4.6% to about 3.27 million, according to Istat estimates.
