Nissan Announces 900 Job Cuts Across Europe With Impact on Barcelona Plants
Japanese automaker Nissan has proposed a reduction of 900 jobs in its European operations to lower costs, with the plan already included in a workers' layoff agreement affecting its three facilities in Catalonia. The restructuring will impact the vehicles factory in Barcelona and is expected to include layoffs at its parts plant in El Prat, where some of the 600 employees currently working there will face job cuts.
