Samsung Avoids Strike That Threatened Global Chip Supply

Samsung Electronics and its labor union have reached a preliminary wage agreement, averting a strike by tens of thousands of workers in South Korea. The strike, now suspended, had threatened to disrupt the global supply of computer chips.
