Spain Warns Data Center Expansion Could Raise Power Generation Costs by 200% and Emissions by 65%
Spain’s government estimates that 10 GW of data centers by 2030 could increase variable electricity generation costs by 200% and CO2 emissions by 65% compared with 1 GW. It is proposing renewable-energy requirements for the sector.
