Turkish Data Protection Authority Fines Airline Internet Provider 90,000 Lira

Turkey's Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) has imposed a 90,000 lira administrative fine on an internet service provider for requiring passengers to give explicit consent for the processing of their data to use in-flight internet. The KVKK ruled this practice violated data protection laws.
