Turkey Clarifies Highway and Bridge Privatization: Operating Rights, Not Ownership, to Be Transferred

Turkey's Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Privatization Administration have clarified that ongoing projects concerning highways and bridges involve transferring operating rights for a set period, not selling ownership. The government stated that public assets will remain state-owned and denied claims of financial losses or plans to charge for previously free roads.
