Turkey's Trade Ministry imposes $10.1 billion in customs penalties in 8 months

Turkey's Ministry of Trade announced that it issued 10.1 billion lira ($10.1 billion) in additional assessments and penalties during the first eight months of the year. The fines were imposed following customs and foreign trade audits for non-compliance.
