BBC Announces 550 Job Cuts and $107M Content Spend Reduction
The BBC is cutting 550 jobs and reducing its content commissioning spend by £80 million ($107 million) over the next two years. New director general Matt Brittin announced the measures as part of a broader savings plan, which will also involve reviewing TV networks and canceling existing shows.
