Proposed Merger of South Korea's Lotte Cinema and Megabox Collapses

The proposed merger between South Korea's second and third largest cinema chains, Lotte Cinema and Megabox, has collapsed after 14 months of negotiations. The deal was reportedly undone by a financial crisis affecting Megabox's parent company, JoongAng Group.
