CDC Declares End to Record U.S. Cyclosporiasis Outbreak Linked to Lettuce
Federal health officials have declared an end to the largest recorded U.S. outbreak of cyclosporiasis, which sickened 12,883 people across 21 states and was linked to iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms. The outbreak resulted in 570 hospitalizations and two deaths.
