Study Finds Vitamin D Deficiency Triples Post-Surgery Pain

A study involving 184 women undergoing breast cancer surgery found that those with low vitamin D levels experienced triple the likelihood of moderate to severe pain in the first 24 hours post-operation. These patients also required more opioid painkillers and reported more nausea.
