West Nile Virus Death Reported in Netherlands; Belgium Monitoring Cases

A person has died from West Nile virus in the Dutch province of Utrecht, the RIVM has confirmed. Four human infections have been recorded in the province this year. Belgian virologists suggest human cases may also be present in Belgium, though none are confirmed.
