Alan Titchmarsh recieves Commander of the Order of the British Empire award
Alan Titchmarsh, 75, has been awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) for his efforts in horticulture and charity. This is the most presigous rank in the British Empire honoury system. The gardener and broadcaster recieved the award at Windsor castle earlier today. Alan was snapped proudly showcasing his award in front of the castle grounds as he grinned from ear to ear. His wife Alison also attended the Investiture ceremony to show her support. Alan, who grew up in Yorkshire, has become the nation's beloved gardening guru with decades of expertise under his belt.
