Canada Selects German Firm TKMS to Build New Submarine Fleet

Canada has chosen German company ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) to build its new military submarine fleet. The deal, potentially for up to 12 submarines, is Canada's largest defense purchase. The first submarines are expected by 2034.
