German Job Seekers May Face Sanctions for Alcohol Use Before Interviews

Recipients of basic security benefits in Germany may face financial penalties if they attend job interviews unkempt or under the influence of alcohol. A directive from the Federal Employment Agency states this can be considered a breach of duty.
