German Ministers Call for Ban on Parts of Far-Right AfD Party

Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and Baden-Württemberg's Minister-President Cem Özdemir have called for legal proceedings to ban parts of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, citing its "völkisch" elements. The proposal comes shortly before state elections in Saxony-Anhalt.
