John Healey to Ask Ofgem to Scrap Gas Standing Charges, Saving Many Households £45 a Year

Chancellor John Healey will ask Ofgem to remove fixed gas standing charges in 2027 or as soon as possible afterward. The change is expected to save two-thirds of households an average of £45 a year.
