Ireland Proposes Cutting €141 Billion From the EU’s 2028–2034 Budget

Ireland’s EU Council presidency has proposed a 2028–2034 budget of €1.622 trillion, about €140 billion below the European Commission’s initial proposal. The draft is also around €308 billion below the European Parliament’s request.
