Ömer Günel Resigns from CHP After Arrest in Corruption Probe

Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel has resigned from the Republican People's Party (CHP) following his arrest in an Istanbul-based corruption investigation. Günel stated that his party has been "occupied" and that he can no longer engage in politics within the CHP.
