ALRC chair spruiks resort-style accommodation in Port MoresbyV’landys makes assurances team will make top eight in first year Australian Rugby League Commission chair Peter V’landys has claimed players “and their wives” will be on a “permanent holiday” when the Papua New Guinea expansion side makes its scheduled NRL entrance in 2028, and promised “resort-style” accommodation attractive to the talent required to be competitive in the club’s first season.The rugby league tsar has assured PNG prime minister James Marape the team will make the top eight in its first year in 2028, a deadline which V’landys said was “absolutely” going to be met.
