He was only denied the yellow jersey on countback, but at least could celebrate his 100th career win in professional cycling. The 174.2km ride from Amiens to Rouen came down to a sprint finish between the top three in the overall standings, with the Slovenian world champion getting the better of the Dutchman, with Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard coming in third. There are also local reports circulating that an individual was arrested near the finish of the stage at the Saint-Hilaire roundabout at around 3pm.
