12-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Irrigation Canal in Tarsus, Mersin

A 12-year-old boy named Ayaz Kurt drowned after being swept away by the current in an irrigation canal in Tarsus, Mersin, where he had entered to cool off. His body was recovered approximately 750 meters from where he entered the water.
