John H. and 30 Others Go Free as Belgian Drug Trial Is Ruled Overlong

A Belgian court dismissed the case against 31 defendants, including Dutch drug criminal John H., because proceedings took too long. Prosecutors had sought more than 160 years in combined prison terms; the federal prosecutor will appeal.
