EU to Reconsider Catalan's Official Status on September 22

The Spanish government has requested that the European Union reconsider the official status of Catalan, along with Basque and Galician. The issue is scheduled for discussion at a meeting of EU ministers on September 22, having been previously shelved since July 2025.
