Iran to Declare 'Forbidden Zone' Around Strait of Hormuz, Impose Sanctions

Iran's Supreme National Security Council announced plans to establish a "forbidden zone" around the Strait of Hormuz, extending from the US blockade area into the Persian Gulf. Commercial vessels entering this zone will face sanctions. An agreement has also been reached with Oman regarding transit routes.
