LA protests ignite anti-ICE demonstrations across the country

Photo: Minh Connors/Anadolu via Getty ImagesThe scene in Santa Ana grew chaotic Monday as protesters threw objects at law enforcement, with federal agents deploying tear gas, rubber bullets and pepper balls, according to local police.Police declared an unlawful assembly Monday evening, according to local reports.Santa Ana Police Department Chief Robert Rodriguez issued a statement urging demonstrators to go home and said those who break the law will be "held accountable to the fullest extent of the law."In San Francisco, over 100 people gathered Monday to call for Huerta's release in one of dozens of protests across the nation spearheaded by local unions.The day prior, more than 150 people were arrested at protests in the city, per local reports.
