Minnesota Lawmaker's Killer Sentenced to Life in Prison

Vance Boelter, 59, has been sentenced to two consecutive life terms plus 40 years for the murders of Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband. Boelter also shot and wounded State Senator John Hoffman and his wife. He pleaded guilty to avoid the death penalty.
