Luigi Mangione's attorneys seek dismissal of N.Y. state charges

Luigi Mangione's defense team is seeking to dismiss the New York state indictment against him, according to a motion filed Thursday.The big picture: Mangione, who was charged with murder in connection to the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson last year, is potentially facing the death penalty.The 26-year-old was indicted on federal charges last month and has pleaded not guilty to state murder and terrorism charges in New York City.Driving the news: Mangione's defense attorneys say in a notice to the N.Y.
