Turkey: Operation targets fan groups in Izmir, 28 arrested in organized crime probe
Turkish Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announced an operation targeting two organized crime groups operating within the 'Forza' and 'Yalı' fan groups in Izmir. 28 suspects were apprehended, with investigations revealing 8 violent incidents between the groups over 8 months. A separate operation in Istanbul dismantled a theft ring targeting tourists.
