Turkey: 1.6 Billion Lira in Fines Issued After 756,000 Food Inspections

Turkey's Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, announced that 756,000 food inspections have been conducted since January 1, resulting in 1.6 billion lira in administrative fines. 254 non-compliant instances threatening public health were identified.
