Turkey Leads Europe in Livestock Numbers, Surpassing EU Countries

Turkey has significantly increased its cattle and small ruminant populations in 2025, widening the gap with EU countries. With 17.7 million cattle, Turkey leads the EU, and its sheep and goat numbers also exceed those of its closest competitors.
