US Removes Syria from State Sponsors of Terrorism List After 47 Years
The U.S. Treasury Department has officially removed Syria from its list of State Sponsors of Terrorism, a designation it held since 1979. The move also includes removing Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) from global terrorist organization status.
