Turkish Universities to Focus on 'Terror-Free Turkey'
Turkey's Higher Education Council (YÖK) has directed universities to address the 'Terror-Free Turkey' objective during their opening ceremonies and first lectures for the 2026-2027 academic year. The initiative aims to strengthen national unity and social cohesion.

Öcalan to Serve on Turkish Disarmament Subcommittee
Presidential advisor Mehmet Uçum announced that Abdullah Öcalan will be appointed to the Disarmament and Strategic Coordination Subcommittee as part of Turkey's "Terror-Free Turkey" process. Uçum also mentioned that the National Security Council's decision on the process could be ready by November.
