Alexander Skarsgård Sums Up His Dad’s Reaction To BDSM Movie Pillion In Just Four Words

Alexander Skarsgård Sums Up His Dad’s Reaction To BDSM Movie Pillion In Just Four Words
Alexander Skarsgard (Photo by Vianney Le Caer/Invision/AP)It’s safe to say Alexander Skarsgård has been having a lot of fun on the promo trail for his new movie Pillion. The actor has fully leaned into the BDSM themes of the romantic comedy-drama, which co-stars Harry Melling – best known for playing Dudley Dursley in the Harry Potter movies – as introverted Colin, who gets swept up in a relationship of power and control with Alexander’s character, the mysterious biker Ray.And by that we mean red carpet and media appearances that frankly show his stylist needs a raise, with sequinned trousers, short shorts, thigh-high leather boots, and most recently a backless halterneck top and leather trousers and tie combo for the London Film Festival.Amidst the acclaim, much has also been made of Pillion’s sexual content and its explicit portrayal of a queer, biker kink scene. In fact, Alexander previously said there was an even sexier version of the film, with a number of sex scenes not making the final edit of the movie. He teased: “There’s definitely a raunchier version of this movie … what you’ve seen is the family friendly version … there’s also the Alexander Skarsgård cut.” So naturally, the next question on everyone’s lips was what Alexander’s dad, aka renowned Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård, had to say about his son’s movie. Spilling the proverbial beans on the red carpet, Alexander said Pillion received his dad’s seal of approval, explaining: “He really enjoyed it. It meant a lot to me. It’s very dear to me, this film, and it was a beautiful day to have. “I was in the theatre with him, and to sit next to Dad and watch him watch this thing was special. The fact that he really responded to it meant a lot to me.” Alexander signed off with four words that are immediately destined to appear on Pillion merchandise: “No notes from daddy.”While we wish we were in Alexander and Stellan’s cinema row for that screening, Pillion is due to hit UK cinemas on Friday 28 November.Related...Let's Just Take A Moment To Appreciate Alexander Skarsgård's Pillion Premiere Red Carpet LookAlexander Skarsgård Opens Up About What Makes The Sex Scenes In His New BDSM Biker Romance So UniqueThis Trailer For Alexander Skarsgård's BDSM Biker Romance Has Already Got Us Hot Under The Collar
