Bruce Willis' Wife Emma Shares Heartbreaking Admission In Emotional Father's Day Tribute
Emma Heming Willis and husband Bruce in 2015Emma Heming Willis opened up about feeling “profoundly sad” on Father’s Day while sharing an emotional tribute to her husband Bruce on social media. In an Instagram post on Sunday, the British model began her message by expressing gratitude to her husband and other fathers “living with disability or disease”. “Happy Father’s Day to all the dads living with disability or disease, showing up in the ways they can and to the children who show up for them,” she began alongside a photo of Bruce embracing one of his younger daughters. The mum of two went on to gush about the important principles the retired star has taught their daughters over the years. “What Bruce teaches our girls goes far beyond words. Resilience, unconditional love, and the quiet strength in simply being present,” Emma said.“This photo says so much. Love deepens. It adapts. It stays, even when everything else changes.” Emma and Bruce, who tied the knot in 2009, share young daughters Mabel Ray Willis and Evelyn Penn Willis. Emma is also stepmum to the Pulp Fiction star’s three adult daughters — 36-year-old Rumer Glenn Willis, 33-year-old Scout LaRue Willis and 31-year-old Tallulah Belle Willis – whom he shares with his ex-wife Demi Moore. Elsewhere in her post, Emma reflected on her husband’s frontotemporal dementia diagnosis amid the emotional holiday. The actor’s family announced he was diagnosed with aphasia and would be retiring from acting back in 2022. Bruce’s condition later progressed to frontotemporal dementia in 2023. “I’m profoundly sad today. I wish, with every cell in my body, that things could be different for him and lighter for our family,” she wrote. “As they say in our FTD [frontotemporal dementia] community, ‘It is what it is’.“And while that might sound dismissive, to me, it’s not. It grounds me. It helps me return to the acceptance of what is and not fight this every step of the way like I used to.” Wrapping up her post Emma added: “Today, let’s celebrate the badass dads, those who are here, and those we carry with us [heart emoji] Onward.”READ MORE:Bruce Willis' Wife Emma Shares Bittersweet Post About 'Unconditional Love' On Their AnniversaryRumer Willis Opens Up About Dad Bruce Willis' 'Sweet' Moments As A GrandfatherBruce Willis' Daughter Shares Heartwarming Birthday Video Of Him Dancing With Ex-Wife Demi Moore
