Celebrity Traitors Fans Can’t Get Enough Of Alan Carr’s ‘Faithful’ Slip-Up

Alan Carr in BBC Celebrity TraitorsThis article contains major spoilers for the latest episode of The Celebrity Traitors.With respect, the fact that Alan Carr made it to The Celebrity Traitors final is perhaps the biggest and best twist of all, with his latest blunder proving why. The comedian has expertly used his humour to deflect suspicion throughout the series and provided some of the best moments in the process (challenged only by Celia Imrie’s comic genius). Last night’s episode saw Alan murder Celia in plain sight, the second time he’s done so in his role as a “Traitor”, to make it to the show’s final next week.Naturally, host Claudia Winkleman wanted to celebrate that the remaining contestants had made it to the end with an appropriately dramatic drums and fire situation outside the Scottish castle. Upping the tension, Claudia asked the remaining celebrities - Alan, Cat Burns, David Olusoga, Nick Mohammed and Joe Marler - to look each other in the eyes and say they were a “Faithful” to convince each other of their status.While the other stars gravely repeated the words, Alan just about made it through the word “Faithful” before crumpling into laughter, with hilarity ensuing. “I am! I am a ‘Faithful’ I just get nervous,” Alan insisted as the rest of the group fell around laughing. “Oh Alan” Nick responded, with fellow “Faithful” Joe chipping in: “I’m not having it.”Celebrity Traitors fans immediately shared their appreciation for the vintage Alan moment, deeming it the “TV moment of the year” and “the funniest Traitors moment in history”.
