Farage Accused Of 'Playing Victim' After Urging Reform Councillors Not To Join Diversity Training

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage Nigel Farage has been accused of “playing victim” after he revealed that none of Reform UK’s councillors will be taking part in training on diversity, equality and inclusion or on the climate crisis.The right-wing party secured 677 new councillors – far more than any other party – in last week’s local elections including two mayors, in a major shock to the British political system.In a sign that Reform UK is set on disrupting the status quo, Farage claimed his party’s councillors would boycott climate and DEI training, despite believing in equality.The party leader wrote on X: “Reform UK councillors are being instructed to take part in DEI and climate change training.“Our new elected officials will do no such thing because we believe all people should be treated equally.”His latest remarks were met with a wave of disbelief on social media.Lib Dem MP Tim Farron urged him to focus on “serving your communities” instead of “whining”...Interesting.
