Florence PughFlorence Pugh has admitted that there’s one movie in her filmography she has some regrets about making. The Oscar nominee is the latest guest on Louis Theroux’s podcast, with the host opening up to her about his love of horror during the interview.“I’ve even seen Malevolent not for research, I just happened to have seen it,” he explained, referring to the supernatural thriller starring Florence alongside Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Celia Imrie and James Cosmo, which received lukewarm reviews when it debuted on Netflix in 2018.By way of response, Florence simply said: “Weird.”“You’re really good in it. It’s not bad,” Louis then insisted, although his guest admitted she’d never actually watched it for herself.“It’s probably the one movie that I wish I never did,” she then confessed. “I think everybody has one of those movies.”Florence continued: “I think it was just a movie that I did when I was younger and I needed money. And I was like, ‘well, obviously this is great’. And then I got there and it wasn’t great.”Florence Pugh in the Netflix horror movie MalevolentWhen Louis then began explaining the plot of the film for the benefit of those who’d not seen it, Florence interjected: “We can talk about other movies.”For those who’ve not seen it, Malevolent centres around a brother-and-sister pair of fraudsters who fake paranormal encounters to make money. However, when spending the night in a haunted country house, they – you guessed it! – get a lot more than they bargained for when they begin experiencing supernatural activity for real.Watch the Malevolent trailer for yourself below:Elsewhere in her Louis Theroux interview, Florence discussed another horror film from her past work, Midsommar, reflecting on how appearing in a project so emotionally taxing began to take its toll on her and, in her words, “fucked me up”.Listen to Florence Pugh’s full interview on The Louis Theroux Podcast.MORE FILM NEWS:Florence Pugh Reveals This Tear-Jerking Scene In We Live In Time Was Actually Her Idea'It F***ed Me Up': Florence Pugh Opens Up On The Role That Took Its Toll On HerFlorence Pugh Calls Out 'Godawful' Keira Knightley Headlines After Love Actually
