Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert Appointed UN Under-Secretary-General for Safety and Security

Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert is stepping down as the UN Special Envoy for Lebanon to take on the role of Under-Secretary-General for Safety and Security at the UN Department of Safety and Security. The former Dutch Minister of Defence expressed "mixed emotions" about leaving her post in Lebanon after two years.
