Netflix Unveils Exciting First Look At New Pride And Prejudice Adaptation

Emma Corrin and Olivia Colman will both star in Netflix's new Pride & Prejudice miniseriesNetflix has unveiled a sneak peek at its upcoming adaptation of the classic Jane Austen novel Pride & Prejudice.Earlier this year, it was revealed that the streaming giant would be bringing the much-loved story to life once again in a new miniseries, which would star The Crown’s Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet, and Olivia Colman as her mother.On Tuesday morning, Netflix teased a first-look image at the new series, depicting the Bennet sisters walking in nature with their mum.Alongside Emma and Olivia, the first photo from the set includes Heartstopper’s Rhea Norwood and Industry’s Freya Mavor as two of Elizabeth Bennet’s sisters.We know you've been yearning for a sneak peek ❤️PRIDE & PREJUDICE is officially in production! pic.twitter.com/ABNOkYDjET— Netflix UK & Ireland (@NetflixUK) July 29, 2025Not pictured is Slow Horses star Jack Lowden, who is taking up the mantle of Mr Darcy, a role most famously played by Colin Firth and Matthew Macfadyen.Meanwhile, it’s also been confirmed that the cast will include the likes of Fiona Shaw, Rufus Sewell, Jamie Demetriou, Louis Partridge, Daryl McCormack and Black Mirror’s Siena Kelly.The six-part series is expected to begin streaming next year.Emma Corrin previously enthused: “Playing Elizabeth Bennet is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. “To be able to bring this iconic character to life, alongside Olivia and Jack, with [screenwriter Dolly Alderton’s] phenomenal scripts, is truly the greatest honour.
