Olivia Cooke Gets Candid About 'F**king Horrible' Abuse From House Of The Dragon Fans

Olivia Cooke at a House Of The Dragon event earlier this yearOlivia Cooke has admitted that not all of her encounters with fans of House Of The Dragon have been positive ones.The British actor plays Alicent Hightower in the Game Of Thrones, who has proved to be one of the show’s most polarising figures.During a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Olivia explained how she has grown to become “protective” of Alicent as time has gone on.“I have to be empathetic, and I feel fucking sorry for her,” she said. “I feel she’s grown up into this patriarchal system and she’s been brainwashed by her father to honor this lineage.” As a result, Olivia revealed that when she meets fans of the show, it can sometimes be a challenge when they’re less understanding about her character.“They’ll take a picture, and then they’ll be like: ‘We HATE your character!’,” she revealed. “Sometimes people do say that with a lot of malice.”Olivia added: “[Alicent has] really stirred up a lot of feelings.
