Banco Santander Completes Acquisition of Webster Financial for Growth in US

Banco Santander has finalized its acquisition of US bank Webster Financial, a deal valued at approximately $12.5 billion (€10.8 billion). The acquisition, announced six months ago, received all necessary regulatory and shareholder approvals, including from the Federal Reserve.
