Speaking at a Jaguar Land Rover plant in the West Midlands, the British prime minister said the deal meant US tariffs on cars from the UK would be cut from 27.5% to 10% for 100,000 vehicles every year. The announcement by the two countries made the UK the first to agree a trade deal with Washington since Donald Trump unveiled sweeping tariffs in April on what he called 'liberation day'.
