While it might be tempting to think they all congregate in California, New York, Florida, or Texas, these ultra-rich members of society can also be found in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, or Shelburne, Vermont — or dozens of other cities nationwide. In fact, there are billionaires in 47 states.In May 2025, Forbes released a list of the wealthiest person in each state.
