Or better known as the time when temperatures cool, the leaves on the trees are bursting into charming colors, and we're all going back inside. As we look toward home, there are a few micro improvements that can make a macro impact on your space, mood, and sense of calm. Opt for "warm" bulbs this time of year over "cool." Layering lighting (say that five times fast) by adding floor or table lamps can also cozy up your space.Get sensory: Fall is the perfect time to trade that cooling blanket for a chunky knit. Whether you're choosing blankets or throw pillows, experiment with different fabrics — from velvet to wool to other textured fabrics.Not-so-common scents: You can really warm up your space, often by simply lighting a candle. Choose autumnal scents, such as amber, cedar, or vanilla. I bought fall-inspired scented candles from Trader Joe's, they've made my house feel even more like home.Read the original article on Business Insider
