Andalusian Health Service Ordered to Pay for Misdiagnosing Fatal Pulmonary Embolism

A court ordered Andalusia’s health service to pay over the death of an 18-year-old woman whose pulmonary embolism was mistaken for muscle pain. She visited emergency services three times with breathing difficulty and side pain before suffering cardiac arrest at home.
