NASA Seeks Private Proposals to Extend Hubble Space Telescope’s Life

NASA is seeking private-sector proposals to raise Hubble’s orbit, carry out maintenance or plan a controlled reentry. Without intervention, the telescope could reenter Earth’s atmosphere as early as 2032, with other reports putting the risk in 2033–34.
