Ariana Grande Has A Few Words For Anyone Who Thinks She's Done With Music
Ariana GrandeWith an Oscar nomination behind her following the huge success of Wicked, we can understand why fans may be concerned about the future of Ariana Grande’s music career. The pop star has spent much of the last few years in the Land of Oz playing Glinda alongside Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, with the pair set to return in the sequel Wicked For Good. She’s also recently landed another movie role in Wicked director Jon M. Chu’s upcoming Oh, the Places You’ll Go! animated adaptation with Josh Gad. While the latest chapter of her acting career is charging ahead, it does leave some uncertainty about the music side of things, even though Ariana still found time to drop her new album Eternal Sunshine last year (followed by a deluxe version a few months back). But the Supernatural singer took the opportunity to set the record straight this week.“Very silly of you all to assume that just because I have my hands full with many things that I plan to abandon singing & music,” she posted on Instagram on Wednesday, alongside a video of her performing at the Met Gala last year.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Ariana Grande (@arianagrande)“It is and has always been my lifeline. There will need to be room made for all of it,” she continued. The Into You singer went on to say that her career “may not look exactly like it did before”, but she prefers “how it looks in my head”.Ariana added: “I am having fun. I feel grateful and excited and inspired. Finding a balance between many projects and endeavours I love, and doing it my own way.”She even left fans with a little teaser that she’s “working on a plan to sing for you all next year”, even if it’s “just for a little”.In a statement to Variety, a representative for the singer also insisted that music will continue to be her focus.“Ariana’s plate is definitely full right now, but she’s genuinely enjoying this chapter,” the rep said. “She’s loving the opportunity to dive deeper into acting, and she remains incredibly hands-on with her various businesses. “That said, Ariana has always been and continues to be a musician first. The goal is to find a rhythm where all of these creative outlets can coexist, and she’s very much in the process of building that balance out.”Related...Ariana Grande Shares Beautiful 1-Word Tribute After The Death Of Her Beloved 'Nonna' Aged 99Jonathan Bailey Recalls Very Awkward Ariana Grande Moment Behind The Scenes Of WickedPete Davidson Casually Mentions Ex-Fiancée Ariana Grande – And 'It's All Love'
