Jade Reveals Puppet On A String Singer Sandie Shaw's Reaction To Being Sampled On Song

Jade performing Angel Of My Dreams at the Brit Awards in MarchJade Thirlwall has dug up a real buried treasure while looking back at the year she’s had since launching her solo career, ahead of the long-awaited release of her new album.On Tuesday night, the former Little Mix singer shared a string of photos on Instagram from over the course of the last 12 months, including a personal message from Sandie Shaw.The Eurovision winner’s signature hit Puppet On A String was famously sampled on Jade’s debut solo single Angel Of My Dreams, with Sandie giving the feature her personal seal of approval in a private message that had gone unseen until now.“What an amazing piece of work,” Sandie wrote of the track, saying she was “absolutely thrilled to be included” in Jade’s musical “journey”.Sandie Shaw at Eurovision in 1966Referring to Angel Of My Dreams’ lyrics, which allude to Jade’s complicated feelings about her decade in the music industry, Sandie continued: “A rage of love and hate about the music industry.
